Bimmerlink work with obdlink cx?

Hi all. So I bought the obdlink cx for my 2019 i3s, because everything says it is for the BimmerCode app.
After doing some further research on the matter, it seems I will want to use the bimmerlink app instead, for more monitoring purposes than changing code purposes.
Before I drop the additional $40 on the bimmerlink app, does anyone know for certain if it is compatible with the obdlink CX dongle on our i3’s?

My old OBD to WiFi adapter works with BimmerCode, BimmerLink, and BimmerFlow. I think the problem with some adapters is that their response times are so slow that errors or disconnects can occur. So if an adapter works well with one of these apps, it should work with all of them.

Both BimmerLINK and BimmerCODE are by the same developers. If the OBD device works fine on one, there is no reason it should not work on the other.
