The February edition of the Electric Automobile Association magazine CurrentEVents has a very interesting article on the i3. The author of the study, Sandy Munro called the i3 "the most significant vehicle since the Model T."

The extensive analysis and study started in August 2014 and will be finished in April 2015. The complete report is depicted as being 6" thick and is broken down into 5 systems and 10 zones. Here is a link to the study:

There is a .pdf reports summary available on the site. This report costs $$$$ to purchase (not hundreds, not thousands, but 10s of thousands) so hopefully there will be more information on the web over the next few months. Three areas the study found as groundbreaking were the use of carbon fiber, the aluminum frame and the battery.
