Collision warning failure

My wife (our i3's primary driver) has told me that twice the collision warning feature has been disabled due a fault when she started the car. Both times the i3 had been parked outside on a hot sunny day. Has anyone else had this happen? Ours is a 2015, built in May.

Sounds like the KAFAS camera in the windscreen was pointed at the sun. That will cause the error.
