Curious what your thought is on the deal i am being offered for a 2014 REX Loaner.

MSRP 55,025.00
Asking Price: 42,900.00
Unit has 3,400 miles and based on vin search has been on the lot almost a year.

Waiting to hear back on what the residual and MF is for a lease and if the selling price is before any incentives.

My biggest concern is the mileage

I got mine with close to 700 miles on it and I was maybe slightly concerned. On my test drive the sales adviser got me on a stretch of road without any other cars and said "floor it" and then she had me stand on the brakes to demonstrate that with the near 50-50 weight distribution the nose does not dip like most cars.

The dealership has probably claimed the $7,500 federal tax credit. Keep in mind some purchasers of new RExes have gotten 15%-20% off MSRP before incentives, and with a lot less miles (and interior dander). Residual is 60%/15K; base MF is .00125, or 3% — anything higher is mark-up.

3,400 miles is nothing on this car. I'd be more concerned about the asking price.

Here is the breakdown. Car is a few states over, but this seems more car for the money. Especially after the deal I was quoted at a closer dealership

MSRP: $55,025
Selling Price: $42,900 ($500 Build out cash discount included in selling price)
Window Etch: $219
License and Registration Doc Fees: $285
Acquisition Fee: $995
Lease Cash: $4,875 (applied towards cash down)
Residual: $26,812.50
MF: 0.00165
Monthly Payment: $496/mo

If the sales price doesn't include the $4,875, that's a pretty good deal, although ~$500/month sounds high.

Is this a three-year lease? If so, $425/month is ballpark with Alabama's paltry 2% excise tax, with $4,875 down and all fees capped. The two-year lease has a better RV, at around 60% — $375/month. That term makes more sense.

Acquisition is marked up (base is $795, up recently from $725), and the MF is 1 pt above base. Your FICO has to be 700+ to get base.

yeah was looking at 36mo/15K but if 24 mo is cheaper that is awesome.
Credit Score is 700+

A fully loaded REX for less than $375/month. I'd take that even with 3,400 miles and all that dander. :)
