Joy of all joys, after weeks of being promised by Chargemaster that my installation date for my EVSE is confirmed, they now email me telling me that they cannot install it on the agreed date and that I now need to pay £195 for something that I was otherwise getting for free... Bad form on them.
Now, looking forwards I'm getting mixed messages about what the new grant scheme looks like. I've been told by one company that the new scheme will be pretty much the same as the existing scheme and that there's just a few extra policies that affect how the installers fit the system so it should still be free of charge to me. However, this contradicts what Chargemaster are saying. They're advising that the new rules mean that it will cost me £195.
Bearing in mind it starts in just a few weeks time, I would have expected much clearer info by this point. So what gives? does anyone actually know what the new grant scheme looks like?
