Initial impressions and accessories needed!

Hi all, I picked up my i3 (non-Rex) several weeks ago and have put 300+ miles and can't be happier! I love the amazing torque out of this little beast and have not missed going to the gas station! That said, I will probably have to replace the tires sooner because I can't keep my foot off the pedal. At home, I had a 240 volt/40amp outlet installed and have the Siemens charger from Amazon.com. It has worked fine and I fortunately have not had any issues yet (knock on wood).

There are a few quirks such as trouble getting kids into back seats with suicide doors in my cramped garage, lack of soft close doors (migrated from 535i) and limited trunk space but I've happily given those up. My home has a solar unit but it only provides 25-30% of our home's electric use - pre i3. The monthly bill will probably go up around $50 based on my tiered used electric but still better than the $300 or so I was spending previously. I am thinking about upgrading our home's solar for a future EV for my wife.

I am looking for a custom cut/fit i3 front window shade while parking. I have seen a few online that claim to be custom fit but since this car is so new and limited, I am wondering if anyone has personal experience with one. Also, I read somewhere that there is a 3 cup holder accessory that can plug into the 3 notches on the front cup holder. Anyone know where to get these?

FWIW I sold a 2010 Prius to get my I3. I kept the custom fit Prius window shade and am happy I did...it fits the I3 near perfectly.

As far as cupholder mine is a Tera and was ordered with the "smokers" package. I had an extra cup holder in the center armrest that fits the holes you mentioned.

Wow, forgot about the cup holder/ash tray! I took the holder from under the arm rest and voila it fits! For some reason I thought you could put three holders....
