LED high beams

I paid for LED headlights, the owners manual says I have them but the main beams are actually incandescent bulbs. True that a pair of LED bulbs were less than $65, but why was BMW too cheap to use them while at the same time misleading customers to expect them?

Actually your main beams are LED. It's only the high beams that are not. BMW has never directly responded to questions from owners about why the highs are not also LED, but speculation is that the car is intended to be mainly a city car and thus BMW expected the high beams would get little use. That said, if you search this forum and the i3 Facebook page, you will find threads from people who have traded out the OEM high beam bulbs for various brands of LED's.
