I am located in the Richmond Virginia area. This is my first EV.

It is the launch edition with REX in Iconic Silver. $54,725 before taxes, handling fee and registration. Below is a link to the order document from the dealer

They are supposed to give me a delivery estimate next week. I am considering getting the Clipper Creek 30A charger. Does anyone have experience with this model?

the i3 is supposed to charge at 7.4Kw speed. a 30A Clipper Creek is closer to 6.6Kw.

There are several choices on higher speed portable charging. Clipper Creek just launched one that plugs into a NEMA 14-50 outlet (however, I believe the unit is also 30A) and I've been recommending the JESLA from TonyWilliams (basically a customized Model S MC) this will provide you the ability to charge at the fastest possible i3 speed.

NEMA 14-50 outlets are typically cheaper to install than a hardwired EVSE.

I have not tested either of these with an i3, though I have used my JESLA with an Active E, Roadster, Model S, and a Leaf.
