After a lot of surfing measurements and drawings and sketches, here is my modification for mounting iPad (or other tablets) in for rear seat entertainment.
I finally selected RAM-Mount because they can be bolted on small surface and have a flexible but when locked very sturdy grip.

First mout a ball mount under the front-seat handle

....wanted to add a set of pictures but after endless searching i could not find how...
so bummer,.. but the ram mounts worked for me mounted underneath the front seat handle... but without pictures is is a lesser post

Thanks MikeS for trying to help but after 3 working images linked additional images kept failing,.. so this is the best i could get out of the tool...
