Howdy, just picked up my i3 yesterday and am first in Albany, NY area to own one. Today, I discovered through the Charge Point network that the "My BMW Remote" no longer works in USA and despite being recommended to the UK Apple App site, I couldn't get in. Annoying, but not fatal.

Tomorrow (after its first Level 1 charge overnight), I'll dig around and see if BMWNA offers any direct download links, but I doubt it. In the meantime, some acknowledgment of your native country would be helpful here, since it's apparent the US and UK have different characteristics ( Lucas electrics?)

Cheers from NE USA

NOt exactly sure what you're referring to, but there's a BMW app for both Apple and Android you can download from their respective stores that will let you do various things and check status of your i3 (there is no Windows app for the full functionality, at least for now). You can get a summary of your 'performance' of the last trip, compare yourself to the i3 community, precondition the vehicle, honk the horn, turn on the lights, and unlock or lock the car. Also, in addition to the charging points database in the nav system, there are apps for at least a few networks you can download - some of them also work on your windows computer for preplanning things at home or work.

In the UK it's called BMW i Remote in the google play store and the apple app store.

However mine did connect but has not worked for the last week along with some others on here. UK

Direct Links for the North America Version

According to iTunes:

"What's New in Version 2.8 :(
This version, as well as all previous versions of My BMW Remote, is no longer compatible with US vehicles. In order to continue to use My BMW Remote with a US vehicle, please download the newest version (“My BMW Remote US”) via the following link: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/my-bmw-remote-us/id786203885?ls=1&mt=8.

Thx guys, but I'm still looking.....

And I can't get into the linked version above. Annoying.

I finally accessed it through an Apple store link provided here. Then, I had to wait for my dealer to input my details. I now have it, though have not really tried it, since it's easier to look out the window or walk out to the car. Thx.
