I found an interesting implication of the modern i3 construction materials. These materials seem not to block toll-transponder communications :ugeek:
On my M-Roadster, I kept the FasTrak (toll collection) transponder in the glove box, and only brought it out when needed. Worked fine. So, naturally, I did the same on the i3.
Here in the SF Bay area we have HoT (HOV or Toll) lanes that allow you to use the lane if you have 2 or more in the car, have a "HOV OK sticker", or pay a toll.
Well, I have the sticker, but the little transponder beeped merrily from the glove box. I guess there is no shielding metal in the dashboard or roof...
