They didn't report any inner sidewall wear when I asked them about it, which I thought was odd.

If I were you, I'd look at the inside surface of the rear tire that was likely rubbing when it was mistakenly mounted on the front. It's not so easy to do now that it's on the rear, but with a flashlight, you should be able to see any rubbing damage. The sidewalls aren't very thick, so I wouldn't accept any damage.
