Currently planning a family trip for the near future and searched for any hotel chains with EV charging points. Best Western announced in 2013 that around 50 of their hotels would be equipped with EVSEs. I've emailed them and this is the list of hotels they came back to me with. Some of these appear on Zap-Map UK, but some of them don't. There is no consistent EVSE supplier network, so you need to check individually. Also, none of the Best Western hotels in London offer charging points.

All Best Western points are ZCW see - http://zerocarbonworld.org , Map - http://zerocarbonworld.org/zero-net

Marriott also have points, I have used them in Preston - No Card, just plugin and go, they even coned the space off for me.

And a few Holiday Inns in Europe have points too, especially those that have Tesla superchargers, there are rumblings that most hotels with SCs will get some other type 2 posts installed too.

This Best Western has charging:

BEST WESTERN The Old Tollgate
Hotel & Restaurant
The Street
Bramber
Steyning
West Sussex
BN44 3WE

Went for lunch and got a free top up!

Parkway Hitel and Spa Cwmbran. Just to right of front door. Post is labelled but space not marked. Staff knew where it was but had never been asked how to use it. ;-). Worked fine.

You can add the Crianlarich Hotel to the Best Western list, they have just installed an EVSE (and Biomass too!), which is great as it means that it should now be possible to get to Oban for the Western Isles ferries after heading N up the M6 M74 using Ecotricity's CCS units. Once at Oban the Calmac ferry terminal has a rapid charger and I've also noticed that CalMac are piloting a discount scheme for EV drivers. http://www.calmac.co.uk/discounted-fares-for-electric-vehicles.htm

Until now, (in my ICE past) I've usually planned an overnight in Oban before catching a ferry the next day as I can't realistically get there in time for a same day ferry unless it is later in the day, which for my usual destination is rarely the case. So it's now going to be an overnight stop in Crianlarich instead of Oban. Heading to Colonsay from Leeds later next month so I'll post on how it works out.
