I found a 2014 used elite model with 1500 miles on it. Looks nice. But why is the monthly so high when the terms are the same and a 2015 new model with a $54000 MSRP was $528/month? Here's the deal on offer:

Total Suggested Price 54,700.00

Asking Price is $42,888.00

Your Price $39,888.00

36 month lease with 12k per year
Zero out of pocket
7 msd mf 0.00126 -Used car lease rate is 0.00175
35 payments of $718.91+ sales tax for a total of $783.61

Some thing is not right, residual ? Is it on MRP though it is used ?
I've a calculator which I used and I found it quite useful as I can tell dealer what should be the rate instead of asking.

Yes probably the residual, and the tax credit may also be exhausted.

Do you have a link to your calculator please?

The 36 month residuals are really bad. Try 30 month lease which still qualify for CA rebate.

Roughly speaking, if a 2015 i3 REx fully loaded is $500/month inc. tax, 36 months, 7 MSDs ($3,800), what would an equivalent 2014 model be?

Thanks all. We picked up the car last night. Very happy!

(Deal worked out to $450 after all rebates inc taxes.)

That seems like a good price. which dealership did you get it from?

No reply from Greg by email, but I have found the exact car I want. Reminder of the spec and MSRP:

White 2015 i3 REx, Park Assist, Drive Assist, Tera World, HK Stereo

What do you feel about this deal I have so far managed to negotiate?:

36 month lease
12,000 miles/year
$0 downpayment
7 x MSDs = $3,800

$528 per month

They're dropping the retail price to $49,370 - $1,000 Drive Team coupon they say they can apply for me.

This was the deal I went for. The only difference is we knocked them down about $20 per month. So, I paid "$3,800" MSDs out the door, not a penny more.

Sorry for the brief answers but I'm extremely busy since a week ago.

Life happens and we're just a bunch of ingrates on an anonymous forum. Your price does differ from the $508 in another post, hence the confusion between what you posted and this one.

I guess what would help us out is.

What was the acquisition fee, how much were other fees, such as license and all the other BS fees that put on it. Did you get the advertised 0.0013 starting MF before the MSD discounts. I assume you're in CA since you talk about the rebate, did they tax your $8500 cap reduction.... yeah... I know, lots of questions but it does make it clear on what you paid and got.
