Something just struck me - in all the pictures I've seen, the 428-style wheels are spiralled as though the i3 is 4WD & the torque of the drivetrain has spun the slightly-molten wheels (!) while the tyres stay put, but that means they're different side to side. Compare:

Whereas the 429 is spiralled as if the 4WD i3 was put in reverse first! Is this CGI in the brochures? Maybe I'll go down my dealers & see it in the flesh again.
