Andrew,
I have a 2014 i3 BEV and I live in the southeast Dayton commuting area off of I-675 at the Wilmington Pike exit, then about two miles. Let me know if you want to set something up.

My Laurel Tera BEV ordered in April is awaiting release to the carrier. I am hoping it will make it to Bremerhaven for loading onto the Independence II or a TBA NYK ship on July 31.
I share your concern, but my Laurel Tera has been ordered since April 17 and is yet to enter production. I am convinced now that certain regions/dealers are being given priority consideration. I am patiently waiting here in OH and I am happy to see that individual owners are starting to get...
My dealer tried the "105" approach in April to no avail. Dealers here in the Midwest didn't have the allocations to support this tactic. I had to settle for a 4 month long wait for a car that has to date not started production.
UHaul has vehicle trailers (4 wheel) pulled by one of their small vans that you could one-way rent for about $500-700), depending on mileage. 3 day limit on travel time.
Noticed today that a BMW dealer in Phoenix is offering an April production Tera BEV in Laurel Grey with all pkgs and options except 20" at $1,526 off sticker.
Only about 10 i3 BEVs made the ship Manon yesterday, June 17th. They are late April, early May production. I wonder what's holding the factory up? The BEVs don't have the CEL issue and the leather shortage is the only issue affecting the Teras.
Just checked track and trace on the Wallenius site and I am pretty sure the Aida did not collect any i3s while it spent a full day at Bremerhaven. The Aida left B'haven shortly after midnight today. The shipper normally updates the site each day but the only changes dated today were for cars...
Found answer in Service Manager presentation pdf on the Facebook i3 Group Page. It is centered in the dash like the larger 10.5 inch display that comes with the Tech Pkg. It is a 6.5 inch display.
For i3s that don't have the Technology Package is the display size 6.5 inches? Also, is the display centered under the mirror or moved closer to the driver for better legibility?
I agree with Buskraut. The dealer always has the option to trade or otherwise obtain an earlier allocation. I was told be BMWUSA today that my production date was tentatively set for 27 July. I hope to get better news this Friday when I go to the dealer for the test drive.
I ordered a Tera BEV in April with a number that is 54 higher than yours. I have heard estimates for production that range from June through July. I didn't want the tech pkg or parking asst, so I might be paying the price of having to wait. At least we can practice driving at the dealer...
