I think the closest is probably using the fan whilst in EP+. The consumption meter doesn't register any loss of range when I do this. But not quite the answer you're looking for.
I think you are correct. I long for the "good ol days" when it was a mechanical cable that just opened a vent to the outside. Where I live that's all I need.
I have found that when I turn on ac while on the highway, then turn it off and roll the windows down when I get on the street, the cool air continues for quite a while. Eventually, the cooling stops.
All of the cabin air does go through the evaporator coil, so depending on what was running, as said, it could take a bit before it approaches ambient. Given the path of the air, that may not happen. At least there isn't a motor up there to impact it some.
