How much off MSRP?

I'm getting ready to start negotiation with my dealer for an i3. I've never purchased a BMW before and this will be the highest "class" of car I've ever owned. Should I expect to be able to negotiate on price like I do with a Honda or Chevy or am I assumed to be able to afford full price because I'm looking at a luxury car?

I'm planning on leasing. I want to get the $2000 innovation discount and the $1000 student discount since I completed my masters. I'd like to start dealing at around 3k under MSRP. Is that realistic?

get the best price you can and then email a few dealers; Internet managers only
and try to get a lower price and go back to the dealer closest to your home?

get all the quotes in writing:

find dealers with the most inventory?

Check out some of the other threads. It depends on the model you are purchasing, but for the higher end REX models I am seeing $5k off MSRP and one guy even said he got $6500 off.
