What are the buttons on the rear view mirror

Great build, I’m just finishing off doing an alcantara head lining on my i3.

One question, what glue have you used for the sun visors? I’ve split my visors and they are made from polystyrene, so some contact adhesives will melt it.

Finally got new fully loaded 2021 i3S Imperial Blue this time. Got it at thursday and have already started with some minor mods.

The first mod was 319 Integrated universal remote control in the rear view mirror. I took some pictures through the process.

Thanks! It was made in China some place. They are not for sale anymore, unfortunately.

Thanks. Glad to see more people does modifications like this. Yes, i glued them together. You can use Tec7 or "super glue". I´m going to do alcantara headliner retrofit at this i3 as well, so I can show the glue I choose this time.

If possible, please post some shots of the headliner removal process - I've only found scant (verbal only) info on this. And photos of the stripped roof underside, too, if it's not asking too much? I wanted to see where there's structure, vs. just the roof closure panel you see from outside (that you can distort easily by pushing on it.) Yes - for roof-rack modifications...

Ill make pictures for you. :)

The i3 manufacture until 03/2015 had leather wrist pad behind the iDrive-controller. Therefore i decided to retrofit this part into the "120 Ah" piece with twice USB-ports.

And it was time to get rid of the charging cable in the trunk..

Steering wheel heating project ongoing. Decided to go for G-series steering wheel as this have heating switch on it. This is _not_ plug and play. The project isn't finish yet - have to do some wires for the heating function.

As you can see in the photo, the E-series pedal set is mounted and I have startet on the black headliner project (which explains why I drive without sun blinds and A-pillars).

Nice work!

Unfortunately, it looks like your windshield was hit by some of the gravel that is spread on Swedish roads during the winter. Bilprovningen won't like that. 😄 Hopefully, the shop that replaces your windshield will seal it well so rainwater won't leak into the cabin and even into the CFRP channels in the floor along the doors.

Thanks! Yes, it was hit by a stone at the highway. Im going to replace the windscreen at my local BMW dealer in the end of July. :)

It's possible for you to remove the A-pillar trim covers BEFORE you give it to them. Only if you think they will not be careful. There are many stories of Dealers breaking the tabs and then charging you to get new pieces which have to be painted.

I have a spare set of A-pillar covers L&R (crazy i know) if my front windshield should be damaged ready to go. Fingers crossed
