Pre-heating Rex when connected to charger?

I ordered an Orange i3 in mid-March and expect it early November.
It'll nearly be winter when it arrives, and I would like to know if I'll be able to warm the cabin before departure on a journey if the car is connected to my charger. The manual - page 128 - is vague about this point, but hints that it might be possible using the iPhone App. The REx version can't have the battery pre-conditioning package (in case that has any relevance).

Yes you can preheat the cabin (whether or not charging). Battery preheating is a different issue - and is available with the Rex.
