I've started preconditioning, now that the mornings are getting chillier.

I don't like charging every night, when the car hasn't been used much, so I sometimes let it precondition from the battery - but when I get in the interior temperature is like a Turkish bath.

It seems that the preconditioning cycle ignores the normal user temp setting for some reason - which is annoying since it uses around 7 miles of battery range unnecessarily.

Has anyone else found this?

I do know that when I leave my car set at a lower temp (say 68°F vs 74°F) it is considerably cooler in the morning even if it below freezing.
