Just want to get a discussion going surrounding this. From the blogs/reports I've read: 2018 delivery 4 door sedan probably starts at 80k, loaded is around 100k (implied from loaded i3 = 55k, loaded i8 is 150k) There are some pics floating around, but who knows if they are legit.

Looking at the incentive which expires/phases out after 200k vehicles per manufacturer...It could be a decade from now until that's all done!

Wow...that really makes a 2 year lease the ideal economic decision (assuming credits still around in 2017/18). Taking advantage of $15k in gov subsidies over the course of 4 years is stout! Does anyone know how many credits are left? I think they do it on a per vehicle basis or something?

So, I leased an i3, the dealership was awarded the $7500 credit. In 2 years when i go to lease/buy the 2018 i5, can I or the dealership get another credit?

The $300/month (0 down) for a $56k i3 is the best deal I've seen yet...obviously someone snatched it up quickly. What would that imply BMW is discounting the thing by?? $15k!?

First one was a $46k car for $200/month, 0 down (technically $2k in deposit you get back) Second was a $56k fully loaded bev for $300/month, 0 down ($3k in deposit you get back in the end)

You shouldn't have to do anything. The 20's are slightly wider in the rear, whereas the 19 kit will be uniform for all 4. Either way, won't matter.

Off topic, but has anyone noticed how their regen charge kw/mi goes up while not fully letting off the pedal? i.e. if I let my foot off the charge might be 3 kw/mi, whereas if I get in between a "coast" and "regen" part of the pedal, it will throw out high numbers: 20, 40, I've even seen 99...

There is a sweet spot on the pedal (refer to manual), that allows you to coast while slightly releasing some of the pressure on the pedal. See if you can find it as this will help prevent immediate regen braking.

Thinking more about it, maybe we (forum) can just create a classifieds thread rather than actual section (as is typical on most car forums) since there will more than likely not be that many things selling/buying among members since hardly any mods/add-ons exist right now. not sure what...

Good point, however, I have a 240 charging station at my work I use as well so hopefully won't be a huge issue. But that's a good thing to note for all the other people planning on doing 110 charging alone in cold weather regions.

agree black is a nightmare too keep clean (my wife has a jeep gc in black that royally sucks since it's so big). But, I do think (when clean), the black wheels go well with the black two-tone look of the i3.

Please mount these yourself!! ha, the novelty of tirerack is that they are basically ready to be mounted as soon as they get to your doorstep (no balancing or anything required). You can get the bmw lift pad for $10-15 online if you are concerned with damaging it. also, I ordered the rial's...

Thanks for the sites. Yeah, I just can't get over that standard wheel style. To me, one of the big aesthetic improvements are the 20" wheels on the i3. I really like the look of the black rial's from tirerack so went with those even if they are a couple bucks more. I bet the black wheels...
