Flexible antenna

If I want to remove the flexible antenna from the shark fin, what reception gets marginalized?

I assume that is for the satellite radio, but don't quote me. If you remove it, wouldn't there be a hole in the roof?

FM radio is the primary user for that antenna. When we are doing PDI's in the shop we cannot get any stations without having that antenna installed, makes it easy to remember to put it on
