Reset Trip Odometer on Main Display

I haven't been able to figure out how to reset the trip odometer. I can reset the setting from the Navigation display but it doesn't reset the one on the display above the steering wheel.

The reset button is on left side of display

If you press that button before turning on the car, it displays a few things, but does not reset the trip odometer.

Strange. It does on mine. Maybe you have a software issue.

Mine works like it says in the owner's manual:
-When operational readiness is turned off, the time, external temperature, and the odometer are displayed.
-When operational readiness is turned on, the trip odometer is reset.
